Wonder Valley Family Camp is located at historic Wonder Valley Ranch, in the scenic Sierra Nevada foothills in Central California. Known for its explosion of spring wildflowers, beautiful Wonder Valley may be the West’s best kept secret for those wishing to leave the city behind and experience the serenity of a truly peaceful place.

The grounds of Wonder Valley Ranch are alive with the sounds of nature. The morning calm and silence that fills the still night air are broken as the sun rises by birds chirping and a few roosters announcing that the day has begun. Majestic sycamores cover the lush landscape, complimenting the generally mild foothills climate.

While the Wonder Valley Family Camp offers an almost endless list of activities on the ranch itself, the camp also offers adventure trips in its surrounding areas. Nearby Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks offer the “Big Trees” like the General Sherman Tree, known as the largest living thing on the planet. The historic and beautiful Kings River is just minutes away, offering fishing, hiking and river rafting excursions, and Pine Flat Lake, just a short drive away, offers an exciting Waverunner program for the children.

The Sierra Endangered Cat Haven is just up the road. Sign up with us for a guided tour to view their collection of exotic big cats from around the world in a natural, zoo-like setting. For golfers, the beautiful Sherwood Forest Golf Club offers 18 holes that rest along the banks of the Kings River, set in a grove of gorgeous native oak trees.

Wonder Valley Family Camp can be accessed easily by car from anywhere in California. It is centrally-located about four hours from either Los Angeles or San Francisco, and for air travellers, the Fresno-Yosemite International Airport is just 30 minutes away. Our courteous staff will be happy to pick you up upon your arrival.
